Join our Wellington Squad for a winter of trail running

Our goal event for this block of training is the Wuu2k ultra marathon (18 July 2020)


You can choose to do Wuu2k as part of a team (30km each), or individually over the 43km or 62km distances 

We have a wide range of people in the squad so you'll be training with others of a similar speed - no one is left behind!

Smart Training Plans

Do as much or as little training as your time allows

Plans for all Wuu2k distances (62k, 43k, and 30k teams), plus swim and bike workouts for triathletes.

Specific daily workouts for you to follow, strength training, and options to suits your availability

Weekly Squad Training

Tuesday 5.30pm waterfront run
Working on technique, speed, and power

Saturday 8am trail run
Longer trail runs at different locations around Wellington.
You will be grouped with others of a similar speed


Coach & Team Support

Get help and advice at squad training sessions, and stay in touch via our private Facebook Group when apart.

Ask questions, get coach's advice, share experiences with other team members, and stay motivated.

Other local events

We know you love the Wellington Xterra Trail Run Series so these events form an integral part of our training.

And there's lots of other local events you can include such as Wellington 3 Peaks, Wellington Half Marathon, Tri Wellington's Winterman
